Kimberly S. Hodges
College Planning Consultant

As an educational professional with more than twenty years of both secondary and collegiate experience, Kim’s main focus has been on helping students to succeed. She works with them to find their “right fit” based on their individual learning styles, academic preparation, and both personal and career goals. In addition to working as an College Planning Consultant with Estrela Consulting, Kim currently serves as the Director of Admissions, Marketing and Public Relations for Saint Bernard School, a small private high school located in Uncasville, CT.

Prior to this, Kim worked as the Director of Admissions Research & Planning for Johnson & Wales University at their main Providence, RI campus. Here she provided supervision and training for the university’s extensive network of national admissions representatives, conducted enrollment and target market trend analysis, recruited nationally, and provided reports on prospective students activities.

Before joining Johnson & Wales, Kim worked at Mitchell College in New London, CT for more than 17 years. She worked in both the advancement and enrollment management offices, serving as as the Director of Parent Programs and as the Director of Admissions. In these capacities she helped the college to more than double its enrollment, increase the quality and diversity of its student body, and significantly expand both its volunteer and donor base.

Kim has spoken extensively throughout the northeast on a variety of areas related to admissions recruitment, college campus visits, learning disabilities, and the role of parents in the college selection process.

With her experience working on both sides of the college search process, Kim is proud to be a member of the Estrela Consulting team. She welcomes the opportunity to help students and their families to successfully navigate the college selection process. She and her husband reside in Connecticut.
